KTH Terms and Conditions

1. We do NOT accept waitlists/pre-orders; we are also not responsible to reach out to anyone when birds/hatching eggs become available. 

2. As poultry/eggs become available, there will be no holds; all purchases are first come, first serve.  

3. There is no guarantee on hatching eggs, all hatching eggs are a gamble due to shipment or incubation techniques. Broken eggs, with no outside box damage, will be refunded on a case by case basis and must be brought to our attention the same day as pick up. 

4. While KTH aims to breed towards the SOP or Proposed SOP, we do not guarantee or label any poultry as being pet quality, breeder quality or show quality. 

Pick-Up of Lives/Hatching eggs:

1. All pick ups must be scheduled and must be made within 24-48hrs after payment for pick ups.

2. Tours of our facilities and drop ins are strictly prohibited. 

3. There is a 24hr live guarantee on any poultry purchased for local pick ups. 

4. Minimum live poultry purchase is six lives per in state sale, this can be achieved by mixing or matching species/breeds/varieties. This requirement applies to all poultry under 6wks being sold within NYS, per NYS Ag and Market law.
    

Shipping of lives:

1. Shipping costs of lives are calculated based on weight and zip code using the online USPS calculator. 

2. In addition to shipping cost; You must also purchase the shipping box, which is a flat fee of $15. 

3. KTH is providing a 24hr live chick arrival guarantee. All deaths MUST be brought to our attention with photos of your brooder set up and any chicks lost in order for a refund to be processed. Refunds are issued on a chick by chick basis, shipping will not be refunded.

4. It is up to the purchaser to file a claim with USPS as necessary. Additional insurance may be purchased at your cost.

5. Shipments will be shipped out the following Monday or Tuesday after full payment via Priority Express through the USPS. 

6. The following is our minimum shipment requirements:

   • Age: # of Lives

   • Day Old Poultry: 10 

   • 4-6wks(in NYS): 6

   • 4-6wks(out of state): 3 

   • 6wks-12wks: 2

   • Anything 12wks or older: 1 

 

Please keep in mind, KTH is a HOMESTEAD, not a HATCHERY. We can not match something that we are not.
